Very oily skin or large pores can blur fine strokes as they heal. Powder or combo brows usually last better there, and Mina will tell you honestly when she reviews your photo.
How it works
- We talk through the shape, colour and look you want, and check your skin.
- Your brows are measured and mapped to your face, and you approve the drawn shape before anything starts.
- A numbing cream is applied, then each stroke is drawn by hand with a fine blade and pigment matched to your hair and skin undertone.
- About 6–8 weeks later, the touch-up refines the shape and fills any strokes that didn’t hold.
Healing
What to expect as it heals
Everyone heals a little differently. This is the typical path, and you’ll get written aftercare for your skin at the appointment.
- Days 1–7Brows look darker and bolder than the final result. That’s the pigment sitting on the surface, and it softens.
- Days 7–14Light flaking and itching. Let the flakes fall off on their own; picking pulls pigment out.
- Weeks 2–4Brows can look patchy or much lighter as the skin heals over the pigment. This is the stage people worry about, and it’s normal.
- Weeks 4–6Colour settles back in and you see the true healed result.
- Weeks 6–8Your touch-up refines the shape and fills anything that didn’t hold.
Aftercare at a glance
- No picking, peeling or scratching. Let flakes fall off on their own.
- No swimming, saunas, steam rooms or hot tubs for about two weeks.
- No heavy sweating or workouts for the first week.
- No makeup, skincare actives (retinol, acids) or facials on the area until it’s healed.

Microblading FAQ
Does microblading hurt?
Most people describe it as scratchy rather than painful. A topical numbing cream is used before and during the procedure.
How long does microblading last?
Typically one to two years, depending on your skin, sun exposure and skincare. Oily skin and retinol or acid products fade it faster. A yearly colour refresh keeps it crisp.
Is the touch-up included?
The follow-up is its own appointment six to eight weeks later: about 90 minutes and $150 for brows. Almost everyone needs it: it’s where the healed result is perfected.
Can you fix microblading done somewhere else?
Often, yes. Cover-up ($50, about 10 minutes) and camouflage (from $50, about 20 minutes) are for older or unwanted work. Which one you need depends on how the old pigment has healed, so text a clear photo of it before booking.
