How it works

We choose a shade together, from barely-there to a deeper rose.
The lip line is outlined and approved before we begin, and numbing is applied.
Colour is shaded softly across the lips with a machine.
A touch-up at 6–8 weeks deepens and evens the healed colour.

Healing

What to expect as it heals

Everyone heals a little differently. This is the typical path, and you’ll get written aftercare for your skin at the appointment.

Days 1–3Lips are swollen and the colour is very bright.
Days 3–7Lips flake and peel. Keep them moisturised with the aftercare balm and don’t peel.
Weeks 1–2Colour looks pale or even patchy. This is normal.
Weeks 3–6The true colour blooms back as the lips fully heal.
Weeks 6–8Touch-up to deepen and even the colour.

Aftercare at a glance

No picking, peeling or scratching. Let flakes fall off on their own.
No swimming, saunas, steam rooms or hot tubs for about two weeks.
No heavy sweating or workouts for the first week.
No makeup, skincare actives (retinol, acids) or facials on the area until it’s healed.

For lips

Drink through a straw for the first few days.
Avoid spicy, salty and acidic foods while the lips heal.
If you get cold sores, take any antiviral your doctor prescribed exactly as directed.

Lip Blush FAQ

Will my lips look bright after lip blush?

Very bright for the first few days, then they flake and look pale for a week or two. The true colour blooms back over weeks three to six. That’s all normal.

I get cold sores. Can I still get lip blush?
